Natalie Portman signed and auctioned her pointe shoes from her filming of Black Swan at Crafts for a Cause to raise money for Haiti.  

There are goods still going so check them out and make a difference at Bidding for Good.

Popcraft has popped up in Melbourne!  If you have half the colour OCD I seem to posess, you'll love this collection and how it's been presented!  Just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

So handy, located right next to Harvest Workroom, we can't wait to pop over & drown in the yarny texture and textile.

Crafternoon Delight

What a lovely Winter's day for a little Crafternoon Delight, don't you think?  Over here at Tomas & Jones we decided it would be our weekend's 'one weakness' :)  So we decided to host our very first Crafternoon Tea in our Studio.

Jones' dear mum gave a crocheting demonstration however projects ranged from crocheting to knitting to sketching with pastels, and I think if it's not already obvious, to eating!!  I think there was an obvious obsession on the latter for the photographer ;)  More pics on the projects next time.

We were delighted also to have Tania from To Buy a Fat Pig Skype in with her creative children, who had clever projects going of their own.

What a splendid way to savour an afternoon being creative with friends.

'Tis the Season...

...to be a knittin'!  That's right folks.

Once apon a time I decided it was time I pulled out my knitting needles (or borrow Jones' because I hadn't much of a bother-bone when it comes to knitting).  I decided to try my luck with knitting "the scarf"....*insert dreaded what-comes-next? music here*...!  Of course the problem is that I'd had this bright idea annually and yet had never completely made it last longer than 34 or so rows (can I hear an Amen if this sounds familiar?).  Introduce the scarfette!  

The solution to all my ADD problems (little pills be gone!).  I've been knitting them ever since and will be launching them on our etsy site in the near future.  But first peak goes to you!

I recently gave one to a friend for a birthday present and couldn't resist this cute little suitcase packaging.
